East Bay Animal Hospital

Opened in 1993, East Bay Animal Hospital is a full service Veterinary facility, caring for animals of South Eastern  Massachusetts and the Greater Providence,  Rhode Island  Area. We are staffed with three highly experienced Veterinarians and many compassionate, skilled Veterinary Technicians. In addition to providing services to the public, we partner with local shelters to promote adoption and affordable spay/neuter programs. We are able to provide both routine and specialty services.   • Dr. Peter Cournoyer (Owner)

    Dr. Cournoyer graduated from  Boston College in 1984 and Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine  in 1989. He opened the practice in 1993 and especially enjoys primary care and surgery. He is married with three children and enjoys the family pets; two dogs, two cats, two chickens, and three sheep.

  • Dr. Elizabeth Murdock

    Dr. Murdock graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London, England in 2001 and practiced in the UK until 2008. She moved back to the US in 2008 with her husband, 3 children and 3 pets in tow. She enjoys surgery, small mammals, and endocrine disease.

  • Dr. Anne Nuttall

    Dr. Nuttall graduated fromt he University of California at Davis in 1987. She moved to Massachusetts in 1994 and has been working at East Bay Animal Hospital since 1996. Her favorite area of practice is internal medicine.

  • Dr. Jessica Rizzo BVetMed MRCVS

    Originally from Connecticut, Dr. Rizzo earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Roger Williams University. She has worked for a number of years in the veterinary field before studying Veterinary Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College in London, England. She graduated with her veterinary degree in 2015. Her areas of interest are surgery, small mammals, and exotics. Outside of work, Dr. Rizzo enjoys spening time with her husband and their two cats, Simba and Zahara, and their dog Cooper.

  • Jennifer Hill

    Office Manager

    Jenny joined our staff in January of 2009, having worked as a Veterinary Surgical Technician  since 2004. She enjoys assisting in surgery and interacting with clients and their four-legged family members. She also enjoys handling exotics, including reptiles.  She has 2 rescued cats named "McFly" and "Toothless", and an aquatic turtle.

  • Jessica Blake

    Veterinary Assistant

    Jessica joined our staff in the spring of 2008. She has always loved animals and worked previously at a pet store where she helped people choose their perfect family addition. When not working, she enjoys hiking with her German Shepherd named "Buxton". She also has a Mallard duck named "Nelly" and two bearded dragons named "Ickus" and "Axel".

  • Meaghan Rinkowski

    Veterinary Assistant

    Meaghan joined our staff in the Fall of 2011. She shares her home with two adorable Pomeranians named "Marley" and "Joplin", her Love Bird named "Quagmire" and a Leopard Gecko named "Morrison".

    Veterinary Assistant

    Emmy joined our team in the Spring of 2012. She utilizes her surgical training and degree in Science to assist with our four-legged friends. She has a dog named "Wrek", as well as a new puppy named "Layla".

  • Karly Bianco

    Veterinary Assistant

    Karly joined our staff in May of 2012, having previously worked with animals at a pet store. She has a Bassett Hound named "Winston". She also has two cats named "Cricket" and "Crumpet".

  • Raina Parente

    Veterinary Assistant

    Raina joined our team in January of 2016, having 2 years of experience at a previous clinic.  She enjoys helping animals of all kinds, but has a particular love for cats.  Raina sometimes spends her time off bottle feeding and fostering kittens when the need arises.  She has 2 cats of her own named "Berlioz" and "Toulouse".
  • Nicole Medeiros

    Veterinary Technician

    Nicole joined our hospital in the Fall of 2015.  She completed her education at New England Institute of Technology and obtained her CVT in December of 2015.  She enjoys spending her free time outside with her dog named "Jax".
